We deliver sustainable solutions for road users, airports, and pedestrian pathways nationwide.Job RoleWe are looking for an experienced Surfacing Supervisor to join our team, overseeing surfacing operations across the Surrey and West Sussex counties. This role requires a mix of office-based planning and on-site supervision to ensure smooth project delivery.Duties Walk, Talk, and Build: Conduct site visits with clients to assess requirements, develop construction phase plans, and schedule patching worksProgramme Development: Create and manage patching and surfacing schedules, ensuring jobs are reviewed for access and feasibilitySite Supervision: Oversee surfacing gangs, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standardsHealth & Safety Compliance: Deliver toolbox talks, monitor site safety, and ensure all plant, vehicles, and equipment are properly maintainedOperational Oversight: Supervise one gang on site, coordinating resources, managing workloads, and ensuring deadlines are metTechnical Expertise: Utilise your background in surfacing and machine operation to support best practices and resolve on-site challengesRequirements:Full UK Driving Licence (Essential)Proven experience in surfacing supervision with a background in machine operations.Strong understanding of highways maintenance and surfacing techniques.Proficiency in basic IT systemsAbility to create construction phase plans and patching programmes.Strong leadership skills with experience managing gangs on-site.Knowledge of H&S regulations, risk assessments, and method statementsExperience in contract programming and resource management
