We proudly stand beside the institutions and businesses that make the UK what it is.The RoleOur Investigations & Compliance (I&C) team helps clients establish the facts in relation to incidents, losses, or misconduct, and then to remediate and recover value. We manage diverse issues including fraud and misconduct, regulatory compliance, risk frameworks, and modelling.What you will be doing:Managing a portfolio of Forensic Investigation engagements, ranging from financial, fraud or misconduct investigations, through to proactive risk management and regulatory driven compliance work, and Forensic in the Audit (FITA)Acting independently in managing engagements, under overall supervision of the engagement leaderPreparation of reports and sections thereof for Senior Manager/ Director/ Partner reviewManaging the risks and financials associated with client engagementsEngaging credibly with stakeholders at clients (e.g. board level individuals at corporate clients and/or law firm partners) on behalf of KPMGDeveloping a network of relevant internal and external contacts through quality delivery on engagements and proactive involvement in other networking activityContributing to the developing of proposals/ bids for future workDeveloping and overseeing more junior members of the team on project assignmentsRecognising the importance of continuous self and team development and actively striving to achieve thisThe PersonChartered Professional Accountant or Chartered Accountant or equivalent and/or relevant experience as set out below.Minimum of 3 years of PQE experience with forensic consulting focusA broad range of experience across a range of Forensic engagements, such as: investigations, fraud risk management, dispute advisory and/or regulatory complianceExperience of working on assignments where forensic accountancy, data analytics, corporate intelligence and/or electronic media reviews have been deployed as part of investigationsExperience in statutory audit, financial accounting, financial misstatements and/or forensic support to audits beneficialDemonstrable experience of contributing to the managing of projects, including elements of financial and risk managementExperience in scoping and defining Forensic projects is preferableProven ability to lead and manage small teamsAbility to articulate complex and technical findings in both written and oral presentations for a variety of audiencesExcellent analytical and problem-solving skills, self-motivation and an enquiring mindAbility to work efficiently and accurately under pressureConfidence and ability to quickly establish credibility with clients and senior colleaguesConfidence in challenging existing ways of working and ways of thinkingStrong stakeholder management skillsStrong people skills, including an ability to inspire and develop junior colleaguesAn ability to build, develop and maintain relationships with relevant internal and external contactsExperience in business development activities and an enthusiasm to get involved in marketing activity and in developing the Sectors I&C practiceOur Locations:We are open to talk to Forensic Managers in the UK as this is where the team is based.With 20 sites across the UK, we can potentially facilitate office work, working from home, flexible hours, and part-time options.
