Account Executive - Medical CommunicationsPosition: Account Executive (medical affairs/publications/medical education)Location: London (hybrid - 2 days in a London office)Contract Type: PermanentSalary: Up to 30k Start: ASAPThis is an excellent opportunity to join a successful Client Services team! As a member of the CST, you will have the chance to shape your role to fit your strengths and be instrumental in the ongoing development and growth of the division.The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on various projects across the full spectrum of medical communications activities, as well as work collaboratively with medical writers and creatives.With a vibrant and sociable team environment, intensive on-the-job coaching, and a program of targeted training supplemented by an excellent benefits package, my client values the difference in their employees and puts a strong emphasis on creating opportunities for advancement that complement and develop strengths and further careers.Role & Responsibilities:Develop basic industry knowledge and familiarity with industry situations/issuesDemonstrate good interpersonal and teamwork skillsOversee own workload with increasing number of projects, keeping the Account Managers and Account Director informed of progressDemonstrate an ability to both take briefings on project tasks and effectively deliver on those tasksSupport, plan, and manage a variety of projects across the full spectrum of promotionaland medical projects, including but not limited to:-Event support and planning (including congress and supplier liaison, faculty management,venue management, flight and travel bookings, delegate management)-Communication strategy development and internal training initiatives-Creative concept and content development (e.g. meeting slide decks and materials for congresses, advisory boards, standalone meetings; scientific slide decks; creative campaigns; promotional and medical materials [printed and digital])-Patient materials and advocacyEnsure quality control for own workAccurately complete timesheets on a daily basisExhibit willingness to travelProvide support to Account Managers and Account Director on project tasks for clientsDemonstrate proactivityDeliver tasks to a high standard, with an understanding of working within budget and time expectationsDemonstrate flexibility to adapt to a clients style and needsSchedule and support on client meetings and TCsTake effective notes during client calls and meetingsDevelop a growing knowledge of client needs / their situation/challenges and constraints in order to support the most appropriate and achievable solutionsBuild and maintain good working relationships with internal team and external suppliersProduce weekly status reports for clients to keep them informed of project progressDemonstrate a basic understanding of how project budgets are createdActively conduct research to support the level of expertise offered to clientsDemonstrate an ability to manage and oversee project delivery and client interactions with an ability/willingness to seek support and or guidance when unsureSupport Account Managers and the Account Director on proposal development by researching and developing an understanding of the new business processDemonstrate an interest in the client in order to support future client relationshipsAssist in face-to-face client meetings/new business pitches, with support from appropriate team membersRequirements:Degree (science, preferably life science)Ideally at least 6 months of relevant experience in a medical communications agencyHigh level of drive, motivation, and initiativeExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsGood presentation skillsAbility to problem-solve effectivelyAwareness of industry guidelines#medcomms #medicalcommunications #medicalwriter #medicaleducation #healthcareadvertising #healthcare #pharmaAccount Executive Medical Communications
