Location: Acton, London W3Reports To: Head of Operations and SupplyAbout the Role:The Warehouse Operations Manager will oversee all warehouse activities across the different Retail, B2B and D2C requirements, developing the team to ensure maximum productivity and compliance with SALSA BSD food safety standards, whilst also optimising storage and distribution processes.Key Responsibilities:Warehouse Management: Oversee daily warehouse operations, ensuring the correct resource is planned to meet the dispatch requirements, whilst ensuring effective use of staff hours by achieving the productivity targets.Inventory Control: Maintain accurate stock records, conduct audits, and implement best practices to reduce waste.Plan delivery receipt and outgoing shipments to optimise warehouse workflow.Work with the Warehouse Logistics Manager to optimise the use of space and ensure effective stock rotation to reduce wastage.Team Leadership: Manage and train the warehouse team, developing the teams skills for effective succession planning, whilst ensuring maximum staff motivation and productivity.Compliance & Safety: Ensure compliance with SALSA BSD regulations, including proper rotation, handling and storage of food products. Follow health 'safety protocol to ensure a safe working environment.Implement effective sustainable practices, including waste segregation, to reduce our environmental impact.Manage audits and visits.Process Optimisation: Identify opportunities to streamline operations, improve workflows, and enhance efficiency.Supplier Coordination: Work closely with customers, suppliers and transport providers to ensure timely deliveries.Technology & Reporting: Leverage warehouse management software and sales portal analytics for accurate tracking and reporting. Provide feedback to the wider management team.Required Skills & Qualifications:Experience in FMCG with aSALSA BSD or equivalent food safety system desirable.Qualifications: Food Safety in Manufacturing Level 3, HACCP Level 3desirable.Experience with inventory management systems, retail booking portals and logistics tracking.Strong leadership and team management skills.Problem-solving and decision-making abilities in a fast-paced environment.
