We have secured multiple long-term contracts and continue to grow and expand into new regions and markets.Recent / ongoing projects include:1.2bn Scotland North East and South West Trunk Road Network Management Contracts240m Avonmouth and Severn Bridges SBIM contract30m ADEPT Live Labs 2 Decarbonisation programme300m M8M73M74 Motorway ImprovementsMidlands Highway Alliance Plus consultancy framework1bn A66 Northern Transpennine10bn The Transpennine Route Upgrade (TRU)20M Lagan Pedestrian and Cycle Bridge120m Clyde Waterfront & Renfrew RiversideCarmyle-Westburn Viaduct80m Advanced Manufacturing Innovation District Scotland10m Forth Road Bridge Truss End Links ReplacementKey responsibilities:The successful candidate will:Be part of an experienced bridge engineering team, working on some of the most interesting infrastructure projects in Scotland and further afield.Assist with development of practical, sustainable solutions for bridges and civil structures at all stages; from investigation to optioneering, feasibility, concept and detailed design, construction supervision and asset management.Undertake and / or review structural analysis, design and assessment calculations.Contribute to the development and implementation of our world-class data, analytics and digital technology solutions.Manage production of carbon and cost estimates, 3D models, drawings, reports and other technical documents.Support the development of junior staff and technical capabilities in the team.Represent the structures practice in multi-disciplinary projects and meetings with clients and stakeholders.Qualifications and required skillsBachelors / Masters degree or PhD in Civil / Structural EngineeringChartered status (or working towards) with ICE, IStructE or other appropriate professional bodyDemonstrable experience in the assessment, design and / or management of bridgesSolid understanding of structural behaviour and analysisKnowledge of relevant codes and standards such as DMRB and / or EurocodesEnjoys working in a team environment; sharing ideas and collaborating with colleagues.Proactive approach and commitment to health, safety and welfare.DesirableExperience with highway structures and major bridgesExperience in FE analysis using Lusas, Atena or Midas softwareWhat makes this role uniqueOur Scotland teams impact the journeys of millions across the UK.
