Further to the nature of the role, a full UK driving license and passport is required due to occasional travel commitments.Roles & ResponsibilitiesInspect goods when received, ensuring records on the quality management systems are maintainedLiaise frequently with overseas sub-contractors, providing push back on quality issues such as non-conforming partsInvestigate non-compliances and implement and drive corrective actionsOperate a range of calibration measuring equipment to perform detailed inspections on a range of precision parts, including checking geometric tolerancesMaintain the calibration and SAP systemsPerform periodic audits of the quality system and produce regular reports to display findingsCollaborate with cross-functional department heads to undergo a range of quality focused projects, including helping to drive business improvement processesTravel to Germany on occasions to visit partnering factory and provide audits and risk assessments of the suppliers manufacturing plantQualifications & ExperienceDegree or formal qualification in relevant engineering disciplineExperienced in light manufacturing environment highly desirableProven experience in updating and maintaining QMSDemonstrable hands-on experience with a range of inspection equipment, including Callipers, Micrometres, Shadowgraphs, Hardness Testers, Verniers etcExperience in geometric tolerancing a distinct advantageAbility to read and interpret complex precision CAD diagramsAbility to communicate on all senior levelsConfident in ability to communicate with sub-contractors and raise compliance and quality issues in a professional but authoritative mannerProficient IT skills, including SAP, Excel, PowerPoint and OutlookEligible and willing to obtain an enhanced DBS certificationFull UK driving license and valid British passportAbout Express RecruitmentExpress Recruitment has been offering exceptional recruitment solutions across the East Midlands since 1987, exceeding expectations every time of over 267,000 candidates.We supply a diverse range of sectors including Engineering, Technology, Professional Services, Languages, Sales & Marketing, Call Centres, Commercial, Manufacturing, Local Authority, NHS, Education and Voluntary organisations.
