Maintenance Technician (Mechanical)Chemring Energetics UK (CEUK) is a global business providing a range of equipment based on energetic materials for defence, civil defence and key commercial customers. We are currently looking for a Maintenance Technician (Mechanical) to join our team! Are you a hands-on problem solver with a passion for keeping things running smoothly? Were looking for a proactive Maintenance Technician to support our production teams by tackling a variety of planned, corrective, and reactive maintenance tasks. From diagnosing breakdowns to executing precision repairs, your expertise will be vital in keeping our equipment - and our business - running at peak performance.Key Accountabilities & Duties:Carry out all activities in full compliance with H&SE legislation, within company policy and procedure.Responsible for reporting any unsafe acts or unsafe conditions observed (using the Near Miss System) in accordance with responsibilities under the Health and Safety at work Act.Carry out mechanical Planned Preventative Maintenance, Corrective Maintenance and Reactive Maintenance to production equipment and mechanical infrastructure.Fault diagnosis and root cause analysis.Work in accordance with site procedures, engineering standards and relevant legislation.Utilisation of the site Computerised Maintenance Management system for all maintenance works.Ensure all work is carried out in a safe manner and is to the required standard of workmanship.Work in accordance with the site permit to work system.Qualifications/ Experience:HNC or equivalent in mechanical discipline.Ability to diagnose faults on mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic equipment.Good working knowledge of maintenance practice, MTBF, condition monitoring etc.Experience in a mechanical maintenance role.Desirable:Steam distribution experience.Experience working in a high hazard industry.CMMS experience.Industrial Health and Safety training.The Candidate:Must have personal commitment to Safety, Quality and Environmental standards.Strong bias for action to identify potential problems and co-ordinate their resolution before they become an issue.Continually seeks to identify new ideas and implement new opportunities, which deliver business benefit.The ability to build and develop effective relationships and use these to improve performance.Strong IT, communication and team working skills.Knowledge of the principles of company policy and operating procedures in order to ensure site and company compliance.Excellent communication skills.If you have the necessary skills and experience for the position of Maintenance Technician (Mechanical) then we would love to hear from you.
