Compliance Technologist Ethical & Sustainability FocusAre you passionate about ethical trade, sustainability, and driving real-world change in the fresh produce industry?We are on the lookout for a Compliance Executive to join the Technical & Buying team. This is a unique opportunity to play a key role in ensuring sourcing and supply chain meet the highest ethical, compliance, and sustainability standards.What youll be doing:Maintain and update compliance documentation in line with retailer requirements.Monitor KPIs and generate reports to support strategic decisions.Oversee ethical compliance across the supplier base from due diligence to Sedex verification and SAQ completion.Support and verify effective grievance mechanisms and worker representation.Manage ethical audits and risk assessments, ensuring critical issues are followed up and resolved.Liaise with packhouses, suppliers, and internal teams to uphold compliance at every step.Attend sustainability forums and industry working groups like FNET.Build and maintain a knowledge base of supplier sustainability initiatives and progress.What youll bring:Excellent attention to detail and a proactive approach.Strong communication and relationship-building skills.Ability to work independently and make decisions at pace.Experience in the fresh produce industry and knowledge of compliance systems.An understanding of ethical trade standards (e.g., ETI Base Code) and retailer requirements.Whats in it for you?Competitive salary (negotiable based on experience)Discretionary annual bonus based on company performance25 days holiday + bank holidays (with time off in lieu for any worked)Travel expenses covered for seasonal site visitsMondayFriday schedule, with 1 in 5 weekends on-call (paid or time in lieu)Please contact Luan Harrison for further information on 01780 480530 or email luan@morepeople.co.uk
