The CompanyAn established and innovative manufacturer of bespoke machinery is seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Technician to join their production team. This is a hands-on, multi-skilled role within a fast-paced engineering environment, ideal for someone who enjoys variety and technical challenges.The Role Assemble, test, and commission machinery ahead of pre-delivery factory acceptance tests Mechanical fitting of custom-built machines Interpret and work from engineering/technical drawings Install and integrate components such as motors, gearboxes, belts, bearings, and pneumatic/automation systems Use a variety of hand and power tools safely and effectively Maintain a strong understanding of health and safety procedures Apply basic IT skills in daily operations Support development and refinement of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) Contribute to team training and development efforts Diagnose and resolve mechanical, pneumatic, and electrical faults in machinery (desirable)The CandidateStrong mechanical engineering backgroundExperience in machinery commissioning and bespoke machine assemblyRelevant engineering qualifications or apprenticeship servedSkilled in machining processes such as turning and millingDesirable: Forklift driving certification and working at height experienceBonus: Experience with PLCs and automation systemsThe PackageA competitive salary will be offered and discussed during the call with the agency.
