Job Description

The RoleThis is a programming and commissioning role. The main role will be focused on implementing software on our systems and all aspects of install/commissioning both at company and at customers sites. This role will likely include approximately 60% of time on customer sites.Performance ObjectivesTo be responsible for programming and commissioning of our systemsTo assist with customer support visits and callsTo meet agreed deadlines for commissioning of equipment and systemsDutiesCarry out full system commissioning which can include software, mechanical and electrical competenceCarry out site installation, software integrations and commissioningDeliver customer trainingOffer technical support both remotely and on site for engineers and clientsSoftware knowledge and level of proficiency PLC Programming - ideally in structured text Good understanding and experienceRobot Programming Good understanding and experienceMicrosoft Excel Reasonable understandingMicrosoft Outlook Reasonable understandingMicrosoft Access Reasonable understandingApp Writing C++, C# - BeneficialEssential selection criteriaPositive attitude, prepared for open thinking and change.Able to work as part of a teamGood mechanical and electrical engineering aptitudeExperience of working with programs for automated machineryWilling to travelling all over UK and stay away from home for onsite work (expenses paid +50 per night)Clean driving licensesGood general education to at least A Level standard, including Maths and Physics or similar subjectsIdeal selection criteriaExperience with programming PLCs for automated machineryExperience with creating electrical designs for machineryExperience with commissioning machinery Electrical training and qualificationKUKA robot programming training and experience Experience with programming robotsWorking hoursFlexible during normal working hours, but will occasionally require weekend work and availability for support out of hours (extra pay for out of hours work).
