Senior Electronics Engineer Marlow 4 days pw on site, 1 day at home Please note SC Clearance is required for this roleCopello are working with a defence client who are looking for a passionate and driven Senior Electronics Engineer to join their Antenna Business Unit team to work on products that shape the future of the next generation of aerospace and defence systems. You will have the opportunity to learn from experienced engineers, apply your skills to real-world problems, and contribute to the development of innovative and reliable electronics products.Key Responsibilities Take ownership for the development of architecture to fulfil system requirementsCreation of design and test requirementsRTL design and verification (VHDL)Schematic capture of mixed signal circuit Design (Analogue, RF and Digital) using Altium or similar.Test, characterisation and verification of prototype and product designsCircuit simulation using LT Spice, Agilent ADSUse various laboratory equipment such as VNAs, RF Spectrum Analyser and Oscilloscopes etc to conduct measurementsSkills requiredA strong experience of CPLD/FPGA firmware (VHDL) and their development tools (e.g. Quartus).Good knowledge of current high speed digital technologies, CPLD, Microprocessor, FPGA, DDR Memory etc.Experience in design of RF, High Speed digital, Power Supply, common interface busses such as SPI, I2C, etc.Familiarity with electronics design tools for schematic capture, circuit simulation and PCB layout. Experience with board bring-up, debug and electronics testing within a lab environment using standard test tools such as oscilloscopes, spectrum analysers, signal generators, and power supplies.Experience in Project life-cycle delivery from bids to operation.Production of high quality Documentation.Follow engineering best practices, company governance and aerospace standards and processes such as AS9100, ARP4754A, DO-254, and DO-178Qualifications A bachelor's degree or higher in Electronic and Electrical engineering, or a related field.A minimum of 3+ years experience in RTL Design and Verification (preferably VHDL) in either a product-development or IP-development role.A minimum of 3+ years experience of ideally either Xilinx Vivado/ISE or alternatively ASIC design team experience.Experience of Timing constraints creation, analysis and closure both CPLD/FPGA on-chip and inter-device.Experience of configuration management in a team environment Knowledge of releasing firmware to Production Experience of deriving and capturing system level requirements from high level customer requirements Experience of interfacing with hardware devices and peripheralsKnowledge of DO-254, DO-178 would be advantageousBenefits25 days' holiday plus bank holidays, option to buy/sell additional 5 daysCompressed 4-day working weekHybrid working hoursPension Scheme (up to 8% employer contribution) Private healthcare, Life Insurance, Gymflex, Cycle to work scheme, technology vouchersIf you feel you have skills and experience suited to the position please apply now or send your CV to emmaw@copello.co.uk and we will be in touch for a further chat.
