This role is based in the Severn Trent region, with flexibility for hybrid working.This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced commercial professional to contribute to the successful delivery of complex infrastructure projects within a long-term, secure framework environment.Role OverviewReporting to the Managing Quantity Surveyor, the Senior Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for the commercial management of project(s), from pre-construction through to completion. You will work closely with internal delivery teams, subcontractors, and client representatives to ensure commercial best practice and contractual compliance across all aspects of project delivery.Key ResponsibilitiesManage quantity surveying duties across assigned projects and work packages.Collaborate with design, construction, and supply chain teams to manage and control project costs.Administer main contracts and ensure appropriate contractual notices and documentation are issued.Prepare subcontract documentation and manage subcontractor performance.Lead on applications for payment, valuations, and cost reporting.Produce accurate forecasts, budgets, and cost/value reconciliations.Contribute to the development of junior commercial staff.Maintain professional engagement with clients and promote effective working relationships.Participate in continuous professional development and maintain awareness of industry standards.Candidate RequirementsEssential:Degree in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.Progress towards or attainment of Chartered Membership of a recognised professional institution (e.g. RICS, CIOB).Experience in utilities, civil engineering, or MEICA sectors.Strong knowledge of NEC3 and/or NEC4 contracts.Desirable:Experience in managing or mentoring junior team members.Flexible working options available (full-time or part-time hours considered).What is on offer?Package Includes:Competitive salaryHybrid working (role dependent)Car / car allowance25 days annual leave plus bank holidays (option to buy up to 5 additional days)Contributory pension schemeLife assurance and private medical insuranceAdditional benefits including cycle to work scheme, employee discount platform, and family support benefitsApplication ProcessIf you are a commercially driven professional with relevant sector experience and are seeking a long-term opportunity with a reputable and forward-thinking organisation, please apply with your CV.
