Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) - Farnham Education and Training Are you an experienced and passionate Higher Level Teaching Assistant with a special interest in supporting students with Special Educational Needs (SEN)? We are looking for a motivated and skilled Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join our dedicated team in Farnham. Our school is dedicated to supporting every child's individual needs and providing tailored educational experiences to help them thrive.The Role:As a Higher Level Teaching Assistant in Farnham, you will play a key role in supporting students across a variety of needs, including autism, communication difficulties, physical disabilities, and more. You will work alongside our dedicated teaching staff to deliver high-quality, personalised learning opportunities that help each child develop academically, socially, and emotionally. Key Responsibilities: Assist in planning, delivering, and evaluating lessons in collaboration with class teachers. Provide one-on-one and small group support to students with SEN, ensuring their engagement and progress. Adapt learning activities to meet the specific needs of students. Help create and maintain a positive, inclusive classroom environment. Monitor and track student progress, providing feedback to teachers and senior staff. Liaise with parents and external professionals to ensure a holistic approach to each child's development.About You:HLTA qualification(or equivalent) or a recognised Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification. Experience working with children with SEN in a school or other educational setting. Strong communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents. A commitment to creating a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment. Experience in implementing strategies to support students with a range of learning needs.
