What will you be doing Create, maintain, promote and review on a regular basis a safe environment for all activities associated in delivery of the project. Provide expert advice to the Security Infrastructure team on all levels of Health, Safety, Environmental and Compliance matters. Maintain (in collaboration with line management), all appropriate policies and procedures to ensure all statutory requirements are complied with. To ensure that the Customers Health and Safety culture continues to be ingrained within the culture of the G4S Security Infrastructure team. To act as the lead figure in liaising with the Customers and other Contractors Health, Safety, Environmental and Compliance teams on a daily basis, ensuring and assuring compliance across the board. In conjunction with the Installation and Service Leads, to assist in the production of Risk Assessments, Method Statements and other documentation as required to gain Permits to Work in a timely manner What we are looking for EITHER a Qualified Health and Safety Professional with a minimum of 2 years in a similar role OR an experienced Security Systems Engineer with a good understanding of NSI and Health Safety standards and a minimum of 5 years experience, and looking for the next step in their career Professional attitude to work with Can Do Attitude, its not my job will not be acceptable. Willing to work out of business hours where deadlines necessitate is critical. A strong desire to seize an opportunity, learn new skills and progress their career Team Player, comfortable to proactively engage and negotiate priorities with Engineers, Managers, Customer Representatives and other Health, Safety and Compliance teams on site Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite, specifically Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Fluent in written and spoken English with good communication skills. Strong numerical and analytical skills with high attention to detail Experience of working within the Electrical / Mechanical installation industry, ideally Low Voltage and Extra-Low Voltage Systems There is also some must haves Must be able to pass BS7858 screening. Clean full UK driving license, with no more than 6 points. Enhanced DBS. Some government sites will require further screening.
