Adult Social Care SolicitorSalary: 55,000 - 58,500 per annumWorking Arrangement: Hybrid (Predominantly Home-Based)Contract Type: Permanent, Full-TimeAn exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Adult Social Care Solicitor to join a well-regarded Local Authority legal team. This role offers the chance to work on a broad range of complex and high-profile matters, supporting vital public services.Key Responsibilities:Provide expert legal advice on adult social care law, including the Care Act 2014, mental capacity, mental health, deprivation of liberty, and safeguardingAdvise on immigration, ordinary residence, no recourse to public funds, and human rights mattersHandle cases for the Court of Protection, including case preparation and advocacyDraft legal documents, deal with correspondence, and liaise with external professionalsRepresent the Council at court hearings and instruct Counsel in complex casesConduct legal research and provide guidance on new legislation and case lawEnsure compliance with Lexcel and other quality standardsAbout You:Qualified Solicitor, Barrister, or Legal Executive with at least 3+ years PQEStrong experience in adult social care law and Court of Protection mattersAdvocacy experience and the ability to manage complex caseloadsExcellent communication and research skills with the ability to work autonomouslyBenefits:Flexible hybrid working (predominantly home-based)Competitive local authority salary with structured pay progressionProfessional development opportunitiesA role with real impact, supporting vulnerable individuals and the wider community
