About theSenior Estimator RoleAs an Estimator, you will report directly to the Commercial Manager, ensuring customer pricing requests are handled with precision and efficiency. Senior Estimator Key ResponsibilitiesGenerate cost estimates and propose margins using the companys pricing software, adhering to standard estimating guidelines and agreed rates.Coordinate and prepare submissions for tenders, ensuring accuracy and competitiveness.Present estimates to key stakeholders, effectively communicating the rationale behind costing strategies.Maintain and update estimating models to reflect company pricing policies and market conditions.Ensure timely pricing updates for Customer Service and Commercial teams.Identify opportunities to optimize existing customer accounts by recommending more efficient order management processes, routing improvements, and cost-saving strategies.Monitor new business performance against financial projections and service level agreements (SLAs).Attend on-site and off-site meetings with customers as required.Develop and maintain costing records, analyzing estimated vs. actual costs for continuous improvement.Understand machine rates and material movements, keeping pricing models up to date.Senior Estimator Key Skills & ExperiencePrevious experience in estimating within the print or packaging industry.Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, formulas, data analysis).Strong analytical and organizational skills with a keen eye for detail.Results-driven mindset with the ability to work under pressure.Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present data clearly.Highly numerate and adept at financial analysis.Willingness to travel (approximately 15% of the time).This is a fantastic Senior Estimator opportunity to be part of a forward-thinking company that values innovation and professional development.
