Salary:£60,000 + (Travel Paid for) Location:North Acton / South Ruislip (3 Days Office) Package:Travel allowance Hybrid working (min 3 days office) Up to 10% pension match BUPA Healthcare 25 days leave + bank holidays 1 x professional membership Life & Accident Cover Brief: This position as a Senior Design Manager provides the chance to be an integral part of a high-profile project, contributing to critical infrastructure development. In this role, you will report directly to the Lead Design Manager and will be responsible for delivering assurance on the MEP tunnels and shafts delivery unit. This includes leading and coordinating all designs and disciplines within the scope. Key Responsibilities:Managing at Stage 5 Design Deliverables, ensuring that all submissions are of high quality and delivered on schedule. Overseeing the implementation of design processes, addressing deviations where necessary, and managing interfaces with suppliers to ensure alignment. Resolving supplier queries promptly and collaboratively. Ensuring designs prioritize maintenance, health, safety, and welfare throughout construction and in-use stages. Providing regular progress reports on design deliverables, identifying risks and issues, and communicating these effectively with the Package Manager and Commercial Package Manager. Managing scope gaps, interface issues, and ensuring effective resolutions. Working closely with quality, technical assurance, engineering, and delivery teams to ensure the delivery of a high-quality product while supporting the commercial team in cost management and subcontractor oversight. Managing to CDM requirements within the supply chain, ensuring all CDM requirements are met, robust risk reviews are undertaken, and risks are appropriately communicated with the design and construction teams. About You:Must have extensive experience as a Design Manager within an MEP background, preferably with tunnel fit-out projects. Previous experience working on large scale projects. Experience managing to CDM regulations. Experience using AutoCad, Navisworks, and Projectwise. Previous experience managing stakeholders. Desired:Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
