First Line Risk & Controls - Quality Assurance - Corporate BankingWorking within the First Line Risk & Controls team, the purpose of this role is to support the continued scalable and controlled growth of the business through a targeted Quality Assurance (QA) program. This role would equally suit an experienced Risk / QA Specialist, or an Internal Auditor looking to transition out of the third line of defence and into a business focussed role. Working within the COO Office, this exciting opportunity has arisen to tangibly add significant value through owning and driving a crucial component of the control framework. The QA work will focus in large part on the Corporate Banking business of DBS Bank Limited, London Branch. The successful candidate will be required to provide assurance and comfort around important Corporate Banking processes, as well as performing and supporting other QA on selected key processes across the Branch. Findings will feed back into the monthly governance fora and help drive Standard / Policy compliance through continuous improvement and identification and rectification of issues raised.You will need to:Take ownership of and be accountable for the well-established Corporate Banking elements of the QA program (e.g. Credit, KYC).Perform / support other elements of the wider Branch QA program.Provide remediation recommendations / process solutions to improve implementation and execution of processes.Collaborate with all internal department including Legal & Compliance, Finance, Credit, Operations and First Line Business Management, and Front Office Team Heads.Liaise with stakeholders across the Group to ensure benchmarking of best practice.Provide regular reporting / updates on progress and early notification of any issues identified.Keep abreast of Policy / Standard / Regulatory developments, particularly those associated with core QA responsibilities.Produce and socialise reports on completed QA reviews.Raise and communicate key findings to senior stakeholders.Identify themes / trends across review findings.Manage the approach to lessons learned and any reinforcing communications / training requirements.Supplement reports with recommendations for process enhancement and continuous improvement.You will ideally have:3-7 years’ experience in the Financial Services industryFamiliarity with Corporate BankingBackground in second or third line of defenceKnowledge of key financial service regulations and the overall regulatory environmentAbility to work autonomouslyExcellent presentation skillsExcellent report writing skillsExcellent MS Office skills, particularly PowerPoint and Excel (data review, manipulation, cleansing, distillation)Understanding of the FCA Conduct RulesWhat we offer:A competitive salary, depending on experience25 days annual leave (increasing to 27 days after 2 years continuous service) + bank holidaysAn additional paid day off for your BirthdayGenerous pension schemePrivate Medical InsuranceLife AssuranceSeason Ticket LoaniFlex – which can be used on fitness and wellbeing, travel and hotels, technology
