An exciting opportunity has arisen within one of our scientific society clients, a distinguished professional body who publish high-quality medicines information for a global membership base. We are currently seeking an Executive Editor on a 12 month FTC to ensure their content achieves maximum impact. The role is paying £55,000 and requires office attendance to the central London offices at least once per week.This role will involve editing news, features and opinion articles, including multimedia and infographics, working closely with the Publisher, managing two Editors and a Reporter, supporting in their development. The Executive Editor will also look to improve content at all stages, gaining insight from user analytics and devising editorial campaigns in collaboration with the Publisher. This role will also involve liaising with potential sponsors and clients, ensuring content is produced according to specifications and schedule, and managing editorial budgets.The successful candidate will have a graduate degree (preferably in Life Science), alongside Journalism training or equivalent writing experience in publishing. This role requires a strong news sense, with experience generating exclusive news stories, excellent writing and editing skills, with an ability to work to tight deadlines, using online publishing tools.
