We invest in a supportive and collaborative culture, we feel good about what we do.About the roleWe have an exciting opportunity for a Multiproduct Garment Technologist, working with our Outerwear, Denim and Tailoring teams across our own buy brands; Lipsy and Love & Roses. You will own the technical development across multiple categories within our range, working closely with our Buying and Design teams to proactively manage quality assurance and identify any manufacturing or performance risks and escalate these. You will apply knowledge and understanding of product construction, fabric capabilities, finishes and performance, print and embellishment techniques, fabric testing and test report evaluation to achieve a great product.Responsibilities:Driving fit sessions to ensure accuracy of information and product compliance with Lipsy group standards. Following sealing procedures and facilitating the processCarrying out risk assessments to ensure product compliance and safetyCompleting fabric tests and advising solutions on failing fabrics and yarnsMaking suggestions for improvements on policies and processes and on product/ component reportsEffectively managing the product approval process and clearly communicating non-compliance to the necessary teams and suppliersWorking closely with Buying and Design to progress effective product development and to proactively manage quality assuranceInitiating product comparisons and benchmarking against competition and in line with industry innovationEnsuring suppliers understand Lipsy Technical standards and procedures, including The Lipsy Group Code of Conduct and CSRWorking towards key dates and guidelines driven by the critical dates to the businessTaking responsibility to solve any quality issues in the most cost effective and profit conscious way whilst maintaining customer focus.
