You will be tasked with leading a team of content designers and collaborate closely with brand, marketing, service designers, subject matter experts and other stakeholders to deliver user-centred content that enhances the customer experience.Job description Please see role profile for full list of responsibilities. Person specificationLeadership and team managementLine manage the content designers: Oversee the teams workload, set clear objectives, and support their professional development through mentoring and personal development plans. Encourage collaboration and peer review: Foster a collaborative approach between the content designers, including peer reviews and content critique sessions to enhance content quality and team development. Promote content design discipline: Advocate for content design within NS&I and build networks across government and financial services, sharing knowledge and best practices to elevate the role and impact of content design.Content design and strategyBe the internal expert on content design methodologies: Act as the go-to authority within NS&I for content design best practices, methodologies and industry standards. Lead content design for priority experiences and channels: Plan, design and commission high-quality content across priority services and channels. Ensure content meets business and user needs: Ensure all content supports business objectives while fulfilling user needs, aligning with the content design team strategy and wider organisational goals.Quality and continuous improvementDevelop content patterns, styles and standards: Establish best practices, content styles and design patterns and ensure their implementation across the team to ensure consistency and quality. Set and maintain content quality standards: Ensure content meets high standards of readability, accessibility and aligns with NS&Is tone of voice, brand values and customer principles. Drive continuous improvement through research and testing: Oversee the iterative improvement of content by leveraging research, user feedback, testing and data to inform content updates and strategies.Collaboration and stakeholder engagementManage project team roles and responsibilities: When leading content projects, engage appropriate stakeholders and clearly define their roles and responsibilities, ensuring smooth execution, clear communication and accountability.Other dutiesThese key responsibilities are not inclusive or exhaustive. A 750-word personal statement on the key essential experience Proven user-centred design skills with the ability to design content for a broad range of audiences and channels. Proven experience in line management, including mentoring and supporting the development of content designers or those in a similar role. Ability to develop, implement and communicate content strategies informed by user research and business goals. A 250 word statement for each selected behaviour at sift. Please use examples from your experience and knowledge to demonstrate how you meet them addressing the essential criteria in the Person Specification. We would recommend using the STAR method.We will assess applications on your CV, personal statement, and the behaviour statements.However, in the event we receive a large number of applicants, applications will be sifted first on the personal statement on the key experience.
