Health and Safety AdvisorWe are currently looking to appoint a Health and Safety Advisor. This is a fantastic opportunity for a proactive Health and Safety Advisor to join our established team and work with us to deliver great customer service and ongoing support to our clients. YMD Boon is a high-profile independent, multi-professional consultancy practice with over 50 years’ experience. We provide dedicated services from architectural design, building surveying, project management, maintenance and health and safety. The Role:To provide comprehensive in the field support for H&S Management to a range of clients including Education, retail and construction as well as any other clients of the organisation as required.On site supporting clients to ensure their working practices are safe and comply with legislation.Support in the development of local policies, procedures and risk assessmentsUndertake management audits/ reviews, producing reports that suggest improvements.Produce reports to suggest improvements to management.Support of property related health and safety matters including Fire Safety, Asbestos and Legionella Management.The delivery and development of a range of CPD accredited H&S training including asbestos management, accident investigation and manual handling.Undertake and support of accident investigations including production of reports, and reporting under RIDDOR as requiredProduce newsletters and bulletins.Maintain visible records of client visits.Liaise and support with internal colleagues on matters of health and safety.Maintain cloud-based platforms for eLearning and incident reporting Key skills and experience:Experience within a similar outsourced health and safety support role.Around 2/3 years’ experience in health and safety as a minimum.A minimum of a NEBOSH qualification must be held to be fully competent in the role.Holds CertIOSH (working towards CMIOSH)Experience in the education sector would be advantageousComfortable with digital and cloud-based systemsYou must have strong interpersonal skills as this is a client facing role.Be a team player and support the wider team if necessary.Be flexible.Hold a full UK driving licence and be open to travel to client sites.
