They are an employer of choice, fostering a good team spirit and employee involvement at all levels.You will likeThe Maintenance Supervisor or Team Leader – Specialist Maintenance Services/Engineering job itself where working alongside and leading a small team to deliver essential specialist plant and machinery maintenance and cleaning services to a diverse client base. Reporting to the Operations Manager, working in a ‘hands on’ as well as leadership role, you will manage the relevant tools, supplies and associated paperwork; you will be customer facing. Working in a ‘hands on’ capacity alongside your team on client sites, using specialist equipment, occasionally in confined and at times challenging spacesProvide direction, leadership and mentoring to the team (usually two direct reports), ensuring achievement of the tasks assigned, managing labour and resources efficientlyMaintain Health and Safety standardsMonitor procedures and processes for the receipt, storage, transportation and use of tools and associated products; stock control; maintaining records for an equipment inventory using ExcelSite audits, to ensure consistent levels of quality in our service and capabilitiesPlan and document projects delivered to ensure continuous improvement and shared learning amongst the teams and feedback to customersEnsure that customer requirements are carried out efficiently and according to each project assigned in line with method statements and operating handbookCollaborate with the wider teams to ensure a professional, smooth and efficient service is provided and best practice maintainedYou will haveTo be successful as Maintenance Supervisor or Team Leader – Specialist Maintenance Services/Engineering you will have a healthy mix of the following:Hands-on engineering, maintenance or similar/associated background – we will be flexible provided you can demonstrate the appropriate desire to learn and suitability for the tasks assignedAble to demonstrate effective leadership, supporting employee engagement and motivationPrevious experience of strict health + safety rules and regulationsAfter the relevant training, the ability to work under own initiative without day-to-day supervisionIndefinite right to remain in the UK (we are unable to offer visa sponsorship)Driving license (able to drive company vehicles)Ability to travel and occasionally stay overnight in hotels (average two nights per week)You will getAs Maintenance Supervisor/Team Leader you will get annual take home of £39K-£45K + OT. Basic starting salary is £31K increasing to £33K at completion of induction and training, plus £500 per month allowances, paid occasional overtime + discretionary annual bonus.
