Job title: Site ManagerLocation: Reading, 4 days onsite presence requiredInside IR35Start Date: 01/06/2025End date: 31/12/2025Hours per week: 40Expenses: YesVetting Level: SC but must apply for DV (Vetting team will process clearances for DV but must already have SC to be able to commence work.)Your PurposeTo ensure the requirements of conventional Health & Safety Legislation are met by compliance with Project procedures.To ensure a plan of key activities and milestones is followed, which consistently represents the programme to be achieved for the packageSupport the Project Manager / Package Manager in development, monitoring of progress.To ensure that effective cost control and monitoring is implemented.To provide regular reports on progress, for inclusion in the daily diaries and the project monthly report.To ensure that the work package construction proceeds in accordance with the Project programme whilst meeting the requirements of the Project quality goals and safety case requirementsTo identify and manage specifically those areas that represent significant risk to the work package through proactive interface management.To closely liaise with the required stakeholders to ensure all requirements are communicated and agreed.Receive and distribute documents i.a.w. Company & project procedures.To liaise with sub-contractor and Babcock Document Control sections regarding the issue and receipt of drawings and documents.Establish and maintain a tracking register of all documents and drawings and revisions on CDMS.To receive and issue preliminary drawings, documents and schedules to ensure that the sub-contractor/partners have up to date information for planning and construction purposes.What you can bringHND (or equivalent) in engineering / project / construction management or a related fieldMembership of a recognised construction-related professional body.Risk Assessor Training.Health & Safety Management of Sub-contractors TrainingA1 AssessorAbility to work collaboratively and integrate into multi-disciplinary teams or work independently.Site Construction experience.Apply risk assessment and management principles and processes.Network effectively, negotiate well and influence people, broker relationships with stakeholders within and outside the project.
