Job Overview ESM are looking to strengthen our team Major projects team and appoint a Managing P6 Programmer (Schedules). The role will be based at our Scunthorpe office and will be responsible for schedules for activities for the major projects team. Main Duties Work closely alongside our Project Managers & QS to produce schedules and maintain on a weekly basis. Add new projects with milestones for key steps. Update status of each project and show completions of key steps. Work with production schedulers to ensure critical milestones are met in a fast-paced environment with tight delivery dates. Maintaining accurate records of production work and results. Deliver high-quality programs within specified timelines. Compile reports on factors related to projects schedules to assist in the decision-making process Planning and programming works at design and construction stage for contracts. Create, maintain, review, and administer construction schedules and plans using Microsoft Project & Primavera. Drafting programmes for tender submissions. Monitoring progress during construction, and co-ordinating updates and revisions with Project Managers and clients. Preparation of construction programmes from information produced at Outline Design and producing monthly reports for Senior Management and clients. Preparing and presenting construction programmes and data to influence program decision making Coordinating with project team to accelerate tasks and resolve problems Co-ordinating planning for internal operations, materials requirement and scheduling. Ensure all planning activities are carried out in line with the requirements of the company''s Integrated Management System and its procedures and to identify opportunities for improvements to be made. Preparing scenario planning to evaluate potential options, working closely with the project delivery team to ensure accurate planning of labour resources. To understand the contractual arrangements of a project and ensure that they are not compromised due to planning issues and providing scenario plans for mitigation. Providing support and advice to site, construction and delivery teams. Attend project meetings, present project information and update on area of responsibility accordingly, this includes occasional travel across UK. Undertake any other ad hoc duties.
