Strategic Account ManagerLocation: South of UK/London/Home CountiesSalary: Up to 55,000 (Negotiable and dependent on experience) + Car allowance Full-time | PermanentWork pattern: Monday to Friday Company Overview:Autoprotect is a leading provider of Automotive Insurance Solutions and we are seeking a dynamic and highly skilled Strategic Account Manager to join our team, following a fantastic start to 2025 and growth in our Corporate division.This is a unique opportunity to work with some of the leading dealer groups in the UK to effectively market the full suite of APG products and platform solutions to both existing and prospective clients. At all times ensuring alignment with business objectives for sales volume, revenue growth, and margin targets.Job summary:The Strategic Account Manager maintains and expands relationships with key customers. There will be some key assigned accounts and/or customers, the Strategic Account Manager is responsible for achieving sales budgets, by cross selling/performance growth of product and/or services, providing training and development across both Core and Corporate sales division as well as your assigned accounts.What youll do:Ensure the APG philosophy and values are at the centre of all interactions.Identify new business opportunities in terms of cross sell into existing clients, growth/performance improvement and recognise and open new client opportunities - both Core and Corporate.Ensure sales pipeline document updated weekly.Work with existing clients to develop growth from current product offering, outlining clear strategy and execution on how to achieve this.Monitor and report on client development and performance changes.General Account Management of appointed accounts and being the key contact for clients within an area of responsibility.Work closely with the data and underwriting team to identify opportunities via the Opportunity Matrix, putting together a strategic plan on how to achieve identified target areas.Timely completion of required visit and training reportsEnsuring all CRM reporting requirements are completed in a timely manner as outlined by management.Plan and deliver new business presentations to support tender opportunities.Provide training to existing clients including product and platform, sales techniques and systems training.To discuss promotional and sales development ideas within the clients offering help and advice.To attend any/all relevant meetings both internal and external if required and to ensure that any information required is available for discussion.Review loss ratios with retailer management and agree action plans to resolve high loss ratios as and where required.Manage business pipeline, grow revenue, and develop a strategy for long-term sustained success.Communicate trends/pricing issues and other unique issues as it relates to sales.Develop, implement, and lead the strategy for each assigned strategic partnership account.Understand all aspects of insurance product regulations for FCA requirements.Ensure Dealers are aware of FCA and internal compliance requirements.To complete any training required in order to be competent and compliant in line with regulation.Additional Duties Plan/support logistics and launch of new/existing clients for products and/or systems including compliance.Design/document process flows and procedures for the sales divisions duties/functions in line with head office requirements.Plan/configure/set up new Dealers/clients for products and/or systems ensuring all functions are available based on clients requirements whilst working with business support, finance and UW departments.Identify and provide solutions to system issues and development requirements within APG and back-office systems.Help design, create and manage bespoke reports for clients based on their requirement alongside Underwriting, Finance & I.T. including where possible penetration and clear underwriting performance KPIsDesign and build training material/slide decks, procedure documents and guides as requested for and provide training and development support to all Corporate/Core team members.What youll bring:Skills and competenciesExcellent organisational and time-management skillsResilient and adaptableAbility to build effective relationshipsSales ability and tenacityAbility to influence colleagues and customers at various stakeholder levelsTo have the mindset to work as a team and to apply a team player attitudeA minimum of 5 years experience within the Motor/Insurance/Finance industry.Experience in managing multiple stakeholders and projects at Senior levels within Businesses.Excellent verbal and written communication.Critical thinker and problem-solving skills.What were looking for:Essential:Significant experience in a similar Field Based roleFull UK Driving LicenceProficiency in Microsoft packagesProficiency in CRM packagesPreferred:Insurance/Finance/Warranty/Strategic/Account/Development Manager type role or similar Motor industry experience an advantage i.e. Business/Sales/Transaction Manager, Senior Car Sales Executive, Development Manager.Training/development background in insurance/dealer group/motor industryUnfortunately, we are unable to provide sponsorship for work permits.
