We are currently seeking a Technical Superintendent to join our growing and dynamic company based in Dubai. This position is full time and can be worked remotely or from the Dubai office. If you are an experienced superyacht Chief Engineer or have previous yacht management experience, then we are keen to hear from you.ResponsibilitiesReporting to the Head of Technical Department, you will be working closely with a team of specialist managers each responsible for their own department on a number of vessels.Technical overview of a number of vessels within the fleetEnsure Flag and Class requirements are met and upheldReview regulatory updates and implement as neededMonitor on-board maintenance, complete vessel inspection reports with any technical assessments givenManage technical issues and provide support with vessel surveys and any shipyard periods / refitsMonitor the vessel work list to ensure an accurate maintenance budget is maintainedProvide support with insurance claim managementMonitor and control purchasing to ensure proper management and approval of vessel invoicesAssist with development and continual improvement of internal technical management proceduresTechnical crew management, including interviews and training.Required skills and qualificationsThe ideal candidate will come from a superyacht chief engineer background or previous yacht management experience.Minimum of 5 years sea-going experience in a senior position on board a luxury yacht.You will have excellent relationship management skills as well as the ability to communicate with people at all levels verbal and writtenCompetent at problem solving as well as multi task abilitiesAble to travel worldwide at short notice, as and when requiredProficient with many different business IT systems, computer literacy Microsoft PackageExcellent command of English and report writingA competitive related salary will be offered to the right candidate based on relevant experience and qualifications.
