Aureos is seeking an Overhead Lines Project Engineer (Estimator) to undertake Pre-Construction estimating and commercial activities within distribution wood pole lines.The Estimator will lead, manage and input to the production of project Target Pricing and submission documents for each project on a call off contract framework agreement.The pipeline of opportunities includes wood pole lines with a mix of Rebuild, Refurbishment, ESQCR and connections work at all distribution voltages.SummaryAccountable for ensuring all pricing requirements are met and submitted in line with contract requirements. Liaison with Employers team from progressing submission of The Target Price and all post-submission activities including agreement of draft contract documentation. Support delivery teams during the pre-construction phases.Manage the Target Price portfolio and tracker and provide Input to overall programme including revenue forecasting.Tasks and dutiesReview documents and prepare a report identifying project detailsCompleting pricing preliminaries in conjunction with contractorsPreparing project risk registerCarrying out site visits and preparing reports, where necessaryPreparing target pricing submission document and associated documentsTaking off dimension drawings as requiredUtilising framework schedule of ratesAssess and manage risk and opportunity and support negotiations as part of the pricing processCollate and review tender documents and submission requirements in a timely way, ensuring all financial information is identified and provided and accurate compliant design proposals are includedProvide Project Kick-Off documentation as part of the project handover meetingManage the production of pricing information for senior managementProvide considered responses to customer questions including post tender queriesEnsure that the project team have received an effective handover of bid documentationQualifications and TrainingHave experience working within Construction for a contractor and have a range of project experience to include overhead lines/ new builds / refurbishments, civils and utilities.Ability to work with design team to assess risk is essentialHave a sound knowledge of/ability to use spreadsheets and other commercial packagesProduce analytical data, reports for retendering and understanding volumes and values.Equal opportunitiesAureos are an equal opportunities employer, and we are determined to ensure that no applicant or employee receives less favourable treatment on the grounds of gender, age disability, religion, belief, sexual orientation, marital status or race, or is disadvantaged by conditions or requirements which cannot be shown to be justifiable.
