Role OverviewThe Quality & Environmental Lead is responsible for maintaining the organisation’s existing Environmental and Quality Management System (EQMS) in line with the latest versions of BS EN ISO 9001 and BS EN ISO 14001.This role involves conducting internal audits, maintaining key documentation, preparing for external audits and certification visits, and supporting the continued integration of quality and environmental best practices across the organisation.ResponsibilitiesMaintain and optimise management system documentation, procedures, and logs.Plan and conduct internal audits, schedule management reviews, and report key findings.Follow up on nonconformities and improvement actions, escalating key issues, risks and opportunities to relevant stakeholders, including senior management..Prepare inputs and supporting data for management review meetings.Lead interactions with external auditors to ensure the successful completion of audits and certification visits.Support managers and staff in understanding quality and environmental requirements and maintaining appropriate records.Assist in developing a framework for evaluating supplier and contractors in line with quality and/or sustainability requirementsRecommend ways to further integrate quality and environmental best practice into existing operations.Stay up-to-date with relevant standards, legislation, and industry best practices.Responding to customer quality and environmental tender requests.Required SkillsEffective written and verbal communicationAbility to interpret data and present clear summaries or trends.Strong attention to detailCritical, risk-based thinkingAbility to plan and prioritise multiple projects and actionsRelationship development and the ability to positively influence othersAble to work both independently and collaborativelyComfortable working in evolving environmentsRequired Knowledge & ExperienceProven experience implementing and/or maintaining ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 management systems within a small to medium-sized organisationRecognised internal auditor training and/or hands-on experience conducting internal auditsProficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), with the ability to produce high-quality presentations and reportsDesirablesKnowledge of other ISO standards including 14064, 14068, PAS2060 and/or 27001Benefits25 days holidayYearly bonus (subject to company and personal performance)Onsite gymFree parkingPaid social eventsEmployee Assistance ProgramMedicash ProgramIf you are passionate about maintaining high-quality standards and have the expertise required for this role, we encourage you to apply.
