I'm working with a leading multi-disciplinary main contractor that delivers high-profile construction projects across the UK. They’re looking to add a talented Preconstruction Manager to their successful team, specifically within their Industrial division.This is a pivotal role in the business, focused on managing all aspects of the preconstruction phase – from the moment tender documents land, through to submission and contract exchange. You’ll lead a collaborative, high-performing team to produce compelling, technically strong and commercially sound tender proposals, while ensuring a smooth handover to the delivery teams.It’s a great opportunity to join a progressive organisation with a strong pipeline and a focus on both personal and professional development.Key ResponsibilitiesLead and coordinate preconstruction tender activity in a collaborative team environmentDefine and implement tender strategyIdentify risks and opportunities, creating plans to manage or maximise themLiaise with client teams and internal stakeholdersReview tender documents and align supply chain returnsManage the submission of tender offersPrepare and deliver presentations for tender interviews and internal reviewsExperience RequiredHNC/Degree qualified (or equivalent experience), ideally in a construction-related disciplineExperience in preconstruction/tendering within a main contracting environmentStrong knowledge of construction sequencing, programming, and commercial documentation (BoQs, quotations etc.)Confident working across multiple tenders simultaneouslyExcellent communication, organisation, and technical writing skillsProficient in Microsoft OfficeWhat’s on OfferCompetitive salary (DOE)26 days annual leave + additional entitlement with long serviceCar allowancePension schemeStrong overall benefits packageA culture built on respect, honesty, loyalty, and a passion for continuous improvement
