Overview: We are working in partnership with an award-winning Tier 1 building contractor to recruit a highly experienced Project Director to lead the delivery of a flagship £70m+ school build project in the Cardiff area.This is a rare opportunity to join a market-leading business with a strong pipeline of work across South Wales and the South West, offering long-term stability, an excellent salary package, and the chance to work on one of the region's most prestigious construction schemes. Key Responsibilities: Lead the overall delivery of a £70m new build school project from inception to completion Manage and coordinate a large project team, including site managers, engineers, planners, and commercial staff Report directly to the Regional Operations Director Oversee health 'safety, quality, programme, and commercial performance Build strong relationships with the client, consultants, and supply chain Ensure timely delivery to the highest standards, within budget and programme Requirements: Proven experience as a Project Director or Senior Project Manager delivering complex new build schemes (ideally £30m+) Background in main contracting - Tier 1 contractor experience preferred Strong leadership, communication, and client-facing skills Track record of successfully delivering education or public sector projects is advantageous Relevant construction qualifications and certifications (e.g., SMSTS, CSCS, First Aid) What's in it for you?
