Key Responsibilities To work effectively with the project teams to understand their requirements and agree scope of works enabling development of concepts. Working with the PEM and project teams to develop and agree concept solutions. Assisting with production of technical solutions including technical manuals / user guides for items produced, this may extend to supporting project teams with handover. Collate all necessary design information for Health & Safety file. Arranging PUWER / LOLER testing as necessary for the technical solutions. Delivering guidance / briefings to project teams as part of the roll out of technical solutions. To comply with company procedures and work instructions, guide notes and other information that forms part of the quality assurance, health and safety and environmental management systems. To assist the Project Manager with tracking design cost to complete against agreed deliverables and instructions. To ensure all design meets with the necessary client specifications and any national standards using the support of technical specialists where necessary. Any other duties commensurate with the position as may be assigned from time to time. Key Measures and Targets Conformance with the Company's Health & Safety Policy Accuracy and quality of own and sub-ordinates engineering work Ability to meet own and sub-ordinates proposal or project timescales - all within budget Ability to work within a team environment Contribution made to the development of Engineering department procedures and Systems Conformance with the Company's Quality Assurance System Key Relationships PEM, Operational Managers, and Contracts Managers Site Agents and Site teams Regional HSEQ team Quality and Technical Assurance Manager Communication team About you Essential HNC/D in civil, electrical, mechanical or process engineering or equivalent level qualification CAD 2D capability IT literate with an ability to use a wide range of IT packages including Microsoft Office Well-developed interpersonal skills Strong attention to detail Strong communication skills, both written and oral Commercial acumen Ability to work on multiple tasks Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines Ability to work effectively as part of a multi-disciplinary team Desirable CAD 3D capability Machining / workshop experience Experience in working within a design and build / fabrication environment.
