Main duties of the jobDuties and Responsibilities: Must be able to work as part of a team and to work independently, without supervision. Must have a commitment to providing the highest quality of service. Ability to work well under pressure and still apply attention to detail. Ability to work on own initiative and demonstrate effective personal time management. Effective communication with the team managers and team members. This role requires the Building Maintenance Technician to be on site from 8:00 hours to 16:00 hours working on the continental shift rota. This role requires the Building Maintenance Technician to be flexible as working beyond the rostered days on may be required. Person SpecificationExperienceExperience in Building trades for maintenance activities. Experience of working within a broad range of occupational guidelines. Has received appropriate formal training and developed a knowledge of all types of building maintenance systems. SkillsAbility to undertake unsupervised building maintenance tasks such as: Cleaning of air vents Ceiling tile replacement/repairs Minor plastering duties Minor brick works Applying various wall coatings Undertake small repairs to roofs, floors and external paving. QualificationsRecognised NVQ in building related craft subjects or equivalent. Relevant experience in a similar industry.
