Job overviewWe have a vacancy for an MRI Radiology Department Assistant to join the team at Northwick Park Hospital and across the sites. We are looking for someone who is able to work under pressure, assist radiologists and sonographers undertaking diagnostic examinations, provide care for the patient whilst maintaining a safe and clean environment and support a high quality clerical and clinical support service when required to the radiology department.When making your application for this role, in the supporting statement you must first tell us in no more than 100 words why you would be suitable for this role.Main duties of the jobTo assist in the continuity of an efficient MRI service. To coordinate patients arriving in the MRI department and work with the Superintendent and porters to ensure timely and organised arrival of in-patients to the MRI department. To be the first point of contact for patients and for their care. Ensure MRI safety is always maintained for staff, patients and visitors. Person specificationEducationGCSE NVQ 3 or equivalent experience Knowledge and ExperiencePrevious experience in a health care environment Experience of working in a hospital environment Skills, Abilities and AttributesBasic knowledge of computer systems. Ability to work under pressure Willingness to undertake I.V cannulation Fluent in English (verbal and written).
