This is a full time (10 PA) post. You will join a team of 22 other full and part-time Consultants and Speciality/Specialist Doctors in the Adult Histopathology Department at ORC who provide a reporting service for a variety of specialities, including Gynaecological, Gastrointestinal, Dermatopathology, Haematolymphoid, Head and Neck, Ophthalmic, and Urology. The responsibilities of this post include the provision of native and transplant renal pathology reports and attendance at the weekly multidisciplinary team meeting (MDT) meeting. Main duties of the jobParticipation in the Adult Histopathology service, with specific contribution to the renal pathology service, including the provision of native and transplant renal pathology reports. Commitment to clinico-pathological and MDT meetings relevant to areas of chosen specialty. Clinical and educational supervision of junior medical staff and Advanced Biomedical Scientist Practitioners in Histopathology as a shared responsibility with colleagues. Responsible for carrying out teaching, examination and accreditation duties as required and contributing to Continuing Medical Education and clinical governance initiatives. To contribute to departmental research interests in accordance with the Trust’s R&D Framework. To participate in audit programmes and external quality assessment (EQA). To maintain Continuing Professional Development (CPD) in line with professional requirements.
