Job Title –Product/Pricing Assistant Job Location –London Salary –£25k My client has been established for over twenty-five years and they are recruiting a pricing/product assistant to create, source and price worldwide travel products. You will be analysing the latest offers within the travel industry to create the most competitive packages in the market place and ensure maximum profit levels are achieved. Experience of a GDS will be essential. Key Responsibilities: Ensure all tactical special packages are loaded accurately into systems. Ensure that the detail of all packages is communicated to Marketing in a timely manner. Take responsibility that all internal departments are briefed on the product content, any terms and conditions, and key selling points for all marketing campaigns. Ensure that the Content Management System is updated for all offers and other marketing activity. Create a checking procedure for the availability of bed and seat stock for all offers. Take on extra duties in order to support company objectives as required. Person Specification: Essential Skills, Knowledge and Experience Analyse the tactical marketplace and sales performance of previous offers/campaigns to define future product requirements and opportunities. Attend regular marketing planning meetings with prepared suggestions for possible products for campaigns based on analysis of reports, previous experience, time of year, and particular events. Facilitate regular communication between the Product Team and the Marketing Team. Drive the creation of packages ensuring that the best land/air/car offers are achieved and timetables are met. Knowledge and Experience Required: An understanding of the Internet and its uses within the marketing mix. Good analytical skills and numeracy. High level of attention to detail and copy accuracy. Strong commercial acumen. Excellent organisational skills and ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment. High levels of PC competence e.g. PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and Outlook. Strong commitment to accuracy. Strong experience within the travel industry. Thorough understanding of Airline & Hotel contracts. Experience with a leading UK tour operator would be beneficial.
