You will lead the team to provide high quality Diagnostic Imaging Services at Brent Cross Hub. The role encompasses supporting junior staff to develop skills and help to embed a continuous quality improvement culture across the service. Detailed job description and main responsibilitiesCLINICAL RESPONSIBILITIES Perform a range of clinical, diagnostic, and imaging examinations including: OCT Imaging Humphrey Visual Field tests History taking and assessing visual acuity Topography and Tomography Imaging Biometry scans Responsibility for the safe use of expensive and highly complex imaging equipment Follow established departmental policies for imaging techniques and be guided by standard operating procedures and good practice, but be able to justify the need to vary from SOP when necessary Work within scope of practice Undertake all mandatory training including instillation of dilating drops Provide computer graphic services and operate several information systems relating to imaging Conduct simple maintenance and calibration of equipment Person specificationExperienceA minimum of 3 years’ experience of performing the range of diagnostics such as OCT Spectralis, Topcon, Zeiss, Optos, MS39, Pentacam, IOL Master or Anterion OCT, Visual Fields and Visual Acuity.
