About the role: As the Head of Procurement at Drax youll devise, implement and successfully manage the operational delivery of our framework to support the overall procurement strategy. Youll help us deliver our promise by leading the procurement team supporting UK power generation. Youll ensure management and prioritisation of the teams workload. Additionally, youll focus on key areas of spending to support both the procurement strategy and requirements of the business. Youll manage and deliver effective tendering, negotiation, contract management, working collaboratively with business colleagues ensuring procure to pay processes and policies are operating effectively. Youll help us shape the future by partnering with key stakeholders and Procurement leads to co-create our 3-5 year strategic procurement plans. This will include clear deliverables to safeguard our supply chains. Youll also work closely with finance teams to support the annual budgeting process. Who were looking for: To be successful in this role youll ideally be MCIPS qualified and have extensive experience in a similar role within a multisite, operation led industry such as Power Generation, Manufacturing, or Oil and Gas. It would be great if you had prior experience in one or more of these categories; Industrial Services, Electrical, Controls and Instrumentation, Mechanical / Civils Services, Supply Agreements (MRO, Consumables), Turbines and Rotating Equipment. If you dont have experience in these categories, youll need exceptional technical procurement capabilities that you can effectively transfer to these areas. Youll have strong leadership qualities and a proven track record of driving transformational change within similar organisations. Youll have exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills, effectively engaging and collaborating with diverse groups to align on shared goals. Youll be committed to delivering a prompt and efficient service to all stakeholders ensuring their satisfaction and enhancing your relationships across all areas of the business.
