Join us as a Python DeveloperIn this key role, you’ll lead and collaborate with multiple stakeholders to design, build and deliver solutions to internal customersYou’ll be partnering with the business and technical stakeholders, driving out high quality value add web based solutionsThis is an opportunity to gain exposure as you educate and sell opportunities and developments in web based applications across the bankWhat you'll doAs a Python Developer, you’ll be designing, building and supporting web based applications, as well as producing resilient and long lived software that meets current non-functional requirements and is flexible to cope with future functional and non-functional needs.You’ll also be:Assessing user requirements and stories to arrive at effort requiredInternally validating all code written for yourself and peersManaging environments and code through QA and release processesSupporting and mentoring team members to deliver code as per set standards and processesThe skills you'll needYou'll be intermediate or advanced in Python or at least demonstrate very good software design and decomposition skills, and you should also demonstrate a track record of software development. You’ll be a very capable communicator with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to your peers and management level colleagues, with good collaboration and stakeholder management skills.Given the application’s dependency on statistical models, it would also be beneficial if you had some experience working on statistical model development in banking or financial services, or have a proven record delivering success in roles with an analytical or statistical aspect. Experience with web development such as CherryPy or Flask is highly desirable, but not essential.You’ll also demonstrate:Experience with ORM (such as SQLAlchemy), as well as plain SQLKnowledge of web standards like HTML, JS, JSON, or ReactExperience with Oracle or Postgres, with the ability to write SQL queries and guide model developers with their data queriesThe ability to work in a teamGood communication skills
