First Achieve's Engineering Divison are hiring for an HGV Mechanic in the Falkirk region for their client who are a construction and engineering specialist.Monday - Friday, Dayshift Role.Base salary up to £40k (Dependent on Experience) OTE circa £45-55k…Please Note - You will be required to work Saturday Mornings on occasion paid at x1.5.You will be responsible for conducting four-weekly inspections, preparing vehicles for MOTs, performing servicing, and carrying out repairs in line with VOSA standards. Additionally, you may be required to respond to roadside breakdowns as needed.The role will also include the following responsibilities, as well as any additional tasks assigned by the Transport Managers or the company's Directors.Diagnose vehicle/ faults manually or with the aid of software/digital toolsPrepare cost and time estimates for work doneRepair and replace faulty vehicle partsRefer repair or replacement to specialists where requiredMaintain store of parts with help of the Stores teamScheduleMonday to Saturday (4 hours on Saturday paid as overtime)Early finish on Friday afternoonsStandby on rotation, one week of four (standby allowance applicable)Possibility of further overtimeAdditional BenefitsCompany pension schemeCompany vanCompany mobile phoneThe company will arrange for the successful candidate to obtain their Class 2 Driving Licence and undertake Telehandler Training if they do not already have these accreditations
