Project Manager Vacancy (Civil Engineering / Groundworks)Location: EdinburghSalary: Up to £70 000 plus car / car allowance, pension and healthcareDeanston Cooper's client, a highly successful civil engineering contractor with a large order book, have a current requirement for a Project Manager. Projects include enabling works, commercial groundworks and concrete substructures for a variety of interesting building projects in the Edinburgh area.Your duties as Project Manager will include:Planning the entire project delivery to meet contractual and industry standardsOrganising the resources so that suitable resources are available to deliver the project on time and defect freeCoordinating resources across the project and delivery objectivesMonitoring the implementation of the QA system for quality controlTaking corrective actions to improve the financial and commercial returnsCoordinating with the commercial staff to ensure the resources, supply chain and contractual opportunities can be utilised to maximise returnsTaking action to enhance client relationshipsMonitoring safety on site and feedback learnings into the business.Applications for the role of Project Manager are welcome from candidates with:A minimum qualification of HNC Civil EngineeringExperience working at Site Agent or Project Manager level for another civil engineering contractor, ideally on commercial groundworks projectsExperience of working on a variety of general civil engineering projectsExcellent knowledge of safety and environmental legislationPositive and proactive approach to problem solvingExcellent communication and man management skills
