Whitehall Garden Centre is a family run and award-winning business. An exciting opportunity has arisen to be part of an inspirational team as a Front Of House Manager for our restaurants and catering units. The ideal candidate will ideally have a passion for customer service, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication skills and great motivation are essential to create a friendly and welcoming atmosphere. Working 4 days between Monday to Friday and alternate weekends. Previous experience in hospitality management is required. Front Of House Manager responsibilities Ensure ordering of stock is undertaken on a daily/weekly business in line with business need, managing costs and sourcing the best prices. Undertake weekly/monthly stock takes as required by the business Manage Front of house staff, including daily duties, supervisor responsibilities, Company policies adhered to. Completion of staff rotas. Oversee the completion of daily/weekly/monthly checklists in line with food safety. Ensure paperwork is filed in accordance with food safety policy guidelines Manage the wastage sheets for all front of house, ensuring procedures in place to reduce wastage Ensure the front of house opening & closing checklists are completed in a timely manner daily Manage the staff training for new staff and refresher training for existing staff, whether this is e-learning or via in house training Follow company policies in line with invoices and order paperwork ensuring the accounts department receive in a timely manner. Handling customer queries/complaints in a professional manner finding a resolution in a calm and positive manner, utilising feedback to ensure issues do not arise. Be a trained First Aider to support the centre in any issues that arise Completing all new staff inductions Oversee the transfer of stock requests to other Garden Centres ensuring systems updated to reflect transfers. Supporting the front of house team when busy, making coffees, serving on the till, serving on the hot counter and wash up. Work with the Head Chef to ensure allergens folder is up to date to reflect any supplier change ingredients and any menu changes.
