You will be providing support to the Royal Navy Warship fleet through upgrades, maintenance, and support periods. This could include accruing hours as well as flexibility around start and finish times, ensuring you can balance life at work, on site and life at home.What youll be doing:Reading/Interpreting Electrical Drawings, MDS and Guidance informationCarrying out Electrical Testing on 12v, 24v, 110v, 240v & 440v systemsExecuting various crimping techniques and solderingCarrying out electrical installation, maintenance, and defect rectification in accordance with the project schedules to meet customer quality expectationsInstallation, testing and maintenance of communications equipment such as VHF radios, Intercom, GPS, and AISFault diagnosis and defect rectificationCarrying out detailed inspections and be fully conversant in the use of all measuring equipmentsUsing of calibrating measurement equipmentYour skills and experiences:Completed an appropriate trade apprenticeship or naval equivalent qualificationUnderstanding of electrical installation drawingsClear understanding of SHE Risks AwarenessUnderstanding of manufacturing processesMust be comfortable working in confined spaces and or at heightSafety certification i.e., SHE Induction, COSHH Awareness, working at height etcBackground in Marine, Offshore, Construction or Manufacturing environment highly desirableWhat we offer:As well as a competitive salary of 34,640.
