Their brands and target consumers echo a strong sense of fun and energy, which sets the cultural tone across this supportive yet driven business.THE ROLEAs part of the Supply Chain team the Supply Planner plays a crucial role in driving the efficiency, reliability, and optimisation of their international supply chain operations. This position is responsible for ensuring the efficient and cost-effective flow of goods within the company's supply chain including Asia, Middle East, European and UK key selling markets. The primary objective is to balance supply and demand by coordinating inventory levels, production schedules and procurement activities to meet customer needs, while minimising costs and avoiding stock shortages or excess inventory.The Supply Planner acts as a critical link between supply plan, suppliers and operations, fostering collaboration and alignment to meet business objectives.Key responsibilities include procurement, inventory management and supply chain coordination, with a focus on minimising costs, reducing lead times and improving service levels. By leveraging data analytics and inventory planning policies, the Supply Planner identifies opportunities for process improvement, mitigates potential risks, and ensures the supply chain operates at optimal performance.Reports to the Supply Chain Manager, with 3 days per week office and 2 days home working flexibility.ABOUT YOUHaving gained 3+ years supply chain experience you have developed your capability and knowledge working with fast-moving products in Supply Planning or Inventory Management functional roles, ideally within UK or internationally based manufacturing businesses.Your skills have developed strongly to included E2E supply chain principles including inventory management, supply planning and production planning, working in close collaboration with sales, marketing, and supply chain colleagues as well as procurement and warehousing/logistics key service partners.You love numbers, reading performance analysis with the capability to identify trends and translate insights into actionable recommendations, including creating and maintaining performance reports i.e. KPI dashboards for key stakeholder management.To succeed in this central pivotal role, you will need to be hardworking with a highly personable style and with a focus on achieving accurate and high standards of work while enjoying being part of a successful, friendly, and collaborative supply chain team.If you are ready for your next career move please apply quoting ref MS/2545 together with your CV and current salary details to Mark@smithcarey.co.uk OR call Mark on 07747 847214 for an informal discussion on this outstanding opportunity.Closing date 10th May 2025
