Join us as a Business Development ManagerWell look to you to drive business development activities across the SME landscapeYoull build and maintain strong relationships with business leaders, business partners, and other related organisations to seek new opportunitiesThis is a great opportunity to be involved in a new team and proposition and have the ability to help shape future strategy while developing your skills, knowledge, and networkWhat you'll doAs a Business Development Manager, youll monitor and analyse the marketplace and participate in sales strategies to generate solutions for customers while building your internal and external network. In doing so, youll meet customer needs and assist the business in achieving our lending commitment while ensuring business goals are met in a manner consistent with our values.Youll effectively handle initial enquiries through your network of professionals and market partners, and facilitate an introduction to the relevant banking team to ensure a great customer outcome. Youll also handle concerns and complaints at first point of contact, ensuring the delivery of good customer outcomes at every interaction, and youll formulate and drive a business plan to achieve all KPIs.As well as this, youll:Understand and adhere to the relevant laws, conflicts of interest, and the anti-money laundering guidelinesComplete all control tasks in a timely manner to the required standardOperate within the training and competence scheme, ensuring the provision of accurate, full, and relevant information to customersRespond and adapt to shifting priorities and deliver an effective performance within challenging timelinesLiaise with colleagues to share best practice and to flex capacity between teams as requiredBuild a strong internal and external network of stakeholders and proactively promote a culture where risk is managed effectively within the businessThe skills you'll needWere looking for someone with an understanding of the SME banking market, experience of relationship management in the business, an awareness of risk requirements, both internally and externally, and experience of meeting and exceeding customer needs. Youll hold the Diploma in Lending Skills Professional Qualification, or equivalent, or be willing to study for and complete one within 18 months.Along with the ability to build a professional network internally across business segments, youll have experience in an environment of learning on a weekly basis with a focussed coaching plan.Youll also demonstrate:Experience of delivering presentations to customersEffective relationship management, diary management, and time management skillsKnowledge of technology platformsExcellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills and the ability to network effectively
