We provide an array of services from building maintenance, grounds and our most recent, highways services for Norfolk County Council.We have a fantastic opportunity at Norse Highways for a Fitter/Technician to join the division on a permanent basis.The roleAs Workshop Fitter, you will be responsible for the upkeep of the company fleet of HGV vehicles ensuring all vehicles are serviced, maintained and repaired in accordance with Operators Licence requirements. You will also prepare vehicles for annual tests, road test vehicles to certify roadworthiness and attend breakdowns on a rota system. This is an exciting role for an experienced fitter looking to develop and share their expertise with a knowledgeable team.Job Requirements:City & Guilds certificate in Motor Vehicle Craft Studies, (light and heavy vehicles), or NVQ equivalent in Motor Vehicle Studies, (light and heavy vehicles)Full UK Driving licence + licence as you may be required to pick up vehicles (CAT C Licence)Proven experience of working within a commercial workshop, on site, servicing, inspecting, diagnosing, repairing and maintaining a range of vehiclesIRTEC certificate of competence heavy vehicles mechanical/electrical is desirableWorking Knowledge of Vehicle PartsKnowledge of Health and Safety and ability to promote best practice as an individual and for othersWhat we offer:Salary up to 37561.78 to 40001.3125 Days annual leave + bank holidaysSickness and pension schemeOngoing training and development opportunitiesAccess to group wide benefits and offersWe are committed to employment practices and behaviours which encourage diversity, promote equality of treatment and eliminate unlawful and or unfair discrimination.We reserve the right to close this vacancy once we have received sufficient applications.
