Mechanical Estimator About the Company: The company are a leading and highly respected Mechanical and Electrical Building Services contractor based in Central London. Specialising in commercial and office fit-out projects, the company delivers comprehensive M&E solutions. Project values typically range from 50,000 to 5 million, and due to consistent growth and a strong order book, they are now looking to expand their estimating team with the addition of a skilled Mechanical Estimator . The Role: This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Mechanical Estimator to take ownership of mechanical tenders and contribute to high-value, fast-paced projects. Working alongside a knowledgeable team, you will play a crucial role in delivering competitive, accurate, and timely bids. Key Responsibilities: Prepare detailed and accurate tenders for mechanical projects ranging from 50k to 5m Analyse mechanical drawings, specifications, and other project documentation to determine scope Identify value engineering opportunities and cost-saving alternatives Liaise with project managers, engineers, and the pre-construction team to gather necessary inputs Assess and evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotations to ensure best value Maintain and develop a robust cost database and track historical tender data Support the production of compelling bid proposals and client presentations Mechanical Estimator - Desirable experience and skills: Proven experience as a Mechanical Estimator within the M&E or Building Services sector Solid understanding of mechanical systems (HVAC, plumbing, public health, etc.) Ability to interpret drawings, schematics, and technical specifications Proficient in Microsoft Excel and estimation software Strong commercial awareness and excellent attention to detail Effective communication, negotiation, and organisational skills Whats on Offer: Base salary: 70,000 90,000 (depending on experience) Annual performance-based bonus scheme Private healthcare Pension scheme options Company laptop and mobile phone Company events and team socials Ongoing training and development support A supportive and rewarding working environment Real career progression within a leading M&E contractor How to Apply: If you're an experienced Mechanical Estimator looking for your next career move with a dynamic and forward-thinking contractor, please apply online or contact Rob Green at David Leslie Ltd for a confidential conversation.
