As the only fully private maternity hospital in the UK, delivering over 1,600 babies a year, we place great importance on providing safe and high quality care for expectant mothers. Both consultant-led and midwife-led maternity care is available, and our aim is to provide you with all the support you need during pregnancy, childbirth and beyond. Womens health issues are treated by a team of 40 consultants, supported by nurses, occupational therapists, physiotherapists and counsellors, with an emphasis on privacy and dignity.As an Advanced Paediatric Neuro Physiotherapist, you will be responsible for working in the Paediatric Neuro Rehabilitation ward, working alongside the Neurorehabilitation Lead. This role will include support for with the SDR service. There will also be some general paediatric, orthopaedic and respiratory patients, as you may be required to provide cover for other members of the Physiotherapy team and also cover the weekend and on-call service.You will have a full clinical caseload and work alongside other Paediatric Physiotherapists, and the MDT whilst supporting the Clinical Lead Physiotherapist and Head of Therapies with service development initiatives.At HCA UK we care about what you care about. Let us care for you and your career, the same way you do for others.What youll bring:To be responsible for Neurorehabilitation caseload including: admission assessments, goal-setting and treatment planning, Equipment provision, orthotics and discharge planning. Providing high quality Physiotherapy care to Neuro patients across The Portland Hospital.To be able to provide clinical support across other areas of the hospital, including PICU, orthopaedic surgery, cardio-thoracic surgery.Use expert clinical reasoning to provide specialist intervention, support and advice to patients, ensuring best practice is applied at all times.To maintain accurate, up-to-date and concise treatment records detailing the individual patients treatment plan and progress.To ensure that physiotherapy sessions are commenced on time and patients are charged appropriately for their treatment.To work flexibly to the needs of the service and to participate in the out of hours weekend and standby service as required.Skills and experienceBe registered with the HCPCDegree in PhysiotherapyHighly specialist experience in Paediatric Neurology and rehabilitation.Experience working within in-patient and out-patient settings within an acute hospitalExperience working across other disciplines within physiotherapy e.g rotationsWhy HCA UK?Originally founded over 50 years ago by Dr Thomas Frist, HCA has gone on to become one of the worlds leading healthcare providers.
