Fabricator Welder - Huddersfield Basic Salary: £16ph Hours: 42.5 hour week Monday-Friday Flexibility in hours Overtime paid at time and a half My client, a highly respected, family run, commercial vehicle specialist, is seeking a Fabricator Welder to join their SME team in Huddersfield. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well established business. For this role you will need:Must have experience in HGV body fabrication Hands-on experience working with HGVs (7.5 tonne and above) Holds a valid HGV licence Solid understanding of mechanical systems and repair processes Familiar with key health and safety regulations and procedures Strong communicator with the ability to work well with others Self-motivated and capable of working independently or as part of a team Highly organised and comfortable managing multiple tasks at once Forward-thinking with a proactive approach to problem-solving For this role you will be:Skilled in fabricating and assembling HGV components using a range of welding techniques Proven ability to work with a variety of raw materials, delivering high levels of precision and attention to detail Ensures correct alignment and fitting of all fabricated parts Maintains compliance with safety protocols throughout the assembly process Conducts thorough checks to verify dimensions and meet product specifications Committed to upholding quality control standards at every stage of fabrication Applies fabrication knowledge across all phases, from initial prep to final assembly Focused on meeting production targets and working efficiently to maintain deadlines and workflow Experienced in HGV body fabrication, including building brand new bodies from scratch Skilled in fitting lorry loader cranes and executing chassis alterations Proficient in refurbishing and repairing vehicle bodies to a high standard Multi-skilled fabricator welder with hands-on experience in mid to heavy-weight fabrication Competent in MIG welding across multiple positions Experienced working with heavy plate steel up to 15mm thick For this role you will get:Basic Salary: £16ph Hours: 42.5 hour week Flexibility in hours Overtime paid at time and a half Access to industry leading training from the offset and throughout.
