Carbon60 are proud to be partnering with Lufthansa Technik Landing Gear Services to recruit for an Electroplater within the Plating department. Lufthansa Technik are a global leading provider of maintenance, repair, and overhaul services for the civil aviation industry. This Electroplater position is on a permanent basis and has become available due to continued growth and expansion. In this role you will play a crucial role in the surface treatment of aircraft landing gear components, ensuring they meet the highest industry standards for safety and durability. Role Responsibilities will include:Proven ability to understand and interpret process standard practices, drawings and Company Job cards.Previous experience to undertake Material Handling to include workshop Gantry cranes and slings.Previous experience in preparation of parts for electroplating (Masking techniques etc.)Previous experience to undertake surface preparation by Grit Blasting techniques would be an advantage but not essential.The ideal candidate should have knowledge and experience in a range of the following electroplating processes:Cadmium Plate and Dalic Cadmium plateNickel platingHard Chrome platingAlocromNital etch (Acid Etch inspection)Heat Treatment of componentsAbility to complete work in a manner that satisfies Health, Safety and Environmental requirements.A good understanding of environmental issues associated with Electroplating Industry.Previous Knowledge of information related to the COMAH would be an advantage although training will be given to the successful candidateSkills and Experience required:To have worked within a Plating shop environmentHave a basic understanding of Processes and procedures associated with Electroplating.Experience of working in a EASA 145 environment.Able to communicate with all levels of Management.Willingness to learn new skills to help the Company achieve its targets.Why Lufthansa Technik Landing Gear Services?
